engineering and hydrometeorological surveys
The purpose of engineering and hydrometeorological surveys is to study the hydrometeorological characteristics of the site of the planned works and to assess the impact of hydrometeorological factors on the planned construction. Here it is necessary to take into account the region where the works are carried out and the unfavorable natural phenomena characteristic of it.
Hydrometeorological surveys (not to be confused with hydrogeological surveys!) include meteorological and hydrological surveys.
meteorological
Meteorological surveys study the meteorological regime and climatic features of the area, the microclimatic properties of the development site, the presence and level of impact of negative meteorological processes.
hydrological
Hydrological surveys study the hydrological regime of the land area used for construction and the territory located near it. Water bodies that affect the designated area are studied, as well as how strongly unfavorable hydrological processes affect it.
